With the hot netbook trend quickly on the rise, its no surprise that HP has joined the race, with their new HP MINI 1000 netbook series. Starting at only $400 these little devices have plenty to offer. They feature either 8.9- or 10.2-inch 1024×600 LED-backlit displays, 8GB or 16GB SSDs or a conventional 60GB hard drive, while configured with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor with between 512MB and 2GB of RAM. The HP netbooks are perfect for the main activities of common users: web surfing, emailing, music and web cam. There is also a Vivienne Tam designer edition that starts around $700.
