
Dell revealed a new class of netbook pc with the Inspiron Mini 12. The mini system has the Atom processor, 1GB of RAM and 80GB storage of a typical high-end netbook and has the slim profile of being less than once inch thick. While it carries a higher resolution 12-inch display, and only weighs a 2.7 pounds. The system is designed for younger users or those who want a system with more traditional notebook size but only need the performance of a netbook. Bluetooth and a webcam are also standard on this system rather than optional, like in the mini 9. Due to be released in late November for about $600.
