Sony Super-Thin OLED television

Sony has unveiled a prototype OLED television less than a millimeter thin. If looks could kill, this concept TV is razor sharp. The .9mm thin television was displayed at the Ceatec technology conference in Japan. These OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) televisions use an organic material to emit their own light, they don’t need a backlight, and can be much thinner than other sets. With this technology they also use less power, and display fast moving images better than comparable sets. So far there are no set dates for these to be released.
