Silicon Mountain HDTV-PC Hybrid

Silicon Mountain today released the Allio series of hybrid HDTVs and PCs. It looks and functions like regular HDTVs but features a full desktop PC inside. This combo gives the user an option of Blu-ray or DVD playback built in as well as PVR. While It also provides access to web-only video services like Hulu and picture-in-picture viewing of TV and software applications on the same picture. These systems also have Wi-Fi, in addition to a wireless keyboard and mouse pair, to eliminate cables strewn across your living room. The higher-end Allio models sports a 2.53GHz Core 2 Duo 4GB of RAM and 1TB of disk space costing about $2500. Available today and are preloaded with Windows Vista Home Premium.
