Sony has finally unveiled its ultraportable device the VAIO P. It’s a device that rivals netbooks but however also takes on tablets and smartphones with its unique, extra-long design with an 8-inch 1600×768 screen and pointer-only mouse control. Basically the system is small enough to fit in various pockets. While wide design has the side benefit of giving the mini laptop a much larger keyboard than most systems its size range. It’s powered by a1.33GHz Intel Atom chip, has 2GB of memory, a webcam and a 128GB solid-state drive. The Sony VAIO P also functions as a media player and has an instant-on mode with Sony’s PlayStation-based XMB interface that provides quick access media content without booting into the system’s normal Windows operating system.
