Sigma introduces the DP2 digital camera that features a 14-megapixel FOVEON X3 image sensor. This camera is publicized as the “compact digital camera with most of the functionality of a DSLR camera” The DP2 has 24.2mm F2.8 lens with Sigma’s Super Multi Layer Coating to reduce flares and ghosting. It has plenty of capabilities with exposure adjustments and modes including three metering modes: evaluative, center weighted average and spot. Exposure modes include Program AE, Shutter Priority AE, Aperture Priority AE or full Manual mode, just like in DSLRs. Pricing is TBD
