Sony releases a new photo printer aimed at travelers, the Sony DPP-FP97 can be carried in a bag and print out 4×6-inch images, finishing an edge-to-edge photo in about 45 seconds. The printer can accept a wide variety of memory cards such as Sony’s Memory Stick Pro formats as well as more universal MMC, SDHC, xD, CompactFlash and Microdrive cards.
One significant factor among other portable printers is the 3.5-inch LCD that is capable of HDMI video output support. There is also a USB port to take photos directly from the printer to a device like a digital photo frame.The printer is priced at $200 set to be available in May 2009, however preorders are available in April.
